What makes California ServeSMART different from other RBS
programs?
-
California ServeSMART is
taught by service industry professionals. This helps those taking the class
to identify with the speaker which has shown to help trainees to retain the
information more effectively.
-
California ServeSMART
training engages the trainees with “Role Playing” as part of the
training. Trainees are asked to come in front of the class and act out
different situations that may be faced in the workplace. The “Role
Playing” reinforces what the trainee has already been taught during the
PowerPoint part of the training.
-
California ServeSMART
provides a fresh look into alcohol server training.
-
Some RBS training programs
are designed as a scare tactic... meaning that the class is primarily
about the ABC laws and consequences for breaking these laws. California
ServeSMART not only provides this information, but mainly looks as these
situations from a servers/sellers prospective providing useful ways to
promote safety and compliance.
-
California ServeSMART is
the only program to schedule guest speakers that share their personal alcohol
related experiences with the class.
-
California ServeSMART is
most capable of providing customer service to clients.
-
California ServeSMART is
fully customizable and can insert the policies and procedures for an
organization directly into the curriculum. We can also add a company logo or
images to training materials and/or presentation slides.
Is RBS training required by law in California?
- Currently there are no state requirements for server
alcohol training.

information regarding laws requiring RBS training.
- City and county regulations may require RBS training –
